Muttaburrasaurus - Facts and Figures
Muttaburrasaurus - Facts and Figures Name: Muttaburrasaurus (Greek for Muttaburra lizard); pronounced MOO-tah-BUH-ruh-SORE-us Habitat: Woodlands of Australia Historical Period: Middle Cretaceous (110-100 million years ago) Size and Weight: About 30 feet long andà three tons Diet: Plants Distinguishing Characteristics: Streamlined torso; occasional bipedal posture; powerful jaws About Muttaburrasaurus It takes only one look at Muttaburrasaurus to see that this dinosaur was closely related to Iguanodon: both of these plant-eaters shared the slender, low-slung, stiff-tailed posture characteristic of the two-legged, herbivorous dinosaurs known as ornithopods. Thanks to the discovery of a near-complete skeleton in northeastern Australia, in 1963, paleontologists know more about the head of Muttaburrasaurus than that of any other iguanodont; this dinosaur was equipped with powerful jaws and teeth, adaptations to its tough vegetable diet, and its strange muzzle may have been used to create honking sounds (a trait common to the descendants of the ornithopods, the hadrosaurs, or duck-billed dinosaurs). One odd fact about Muttaburrasaurusand about iguanodonts in generalis that this 30-foot-long, three-ton dinosaur was capable of running on its hind legs when startled or pursued by predators, though it doubtless spent most of its day munching low-lying vegetation peacefully on all fours. As you might expect, the middle Cretaceous Muttaburrasaurus has an especially high profile in Australia, since (along with Minmi, a small ankylosaur) its one of the few near-complete dinosaur skeletons to be unearthed Down Under; you can see its reconstructed skeleton at both the Queensland Museum in Brisbane and the National Dinosaur Museum in Canberra.

Good or great management process is an essential aspect of an organization or a business. In fact, management and leadership go hand in hand, although they are different. As per my experience, I believe that management involves working with others with the aim of achieving a common goal while leadership involves leading and influencing others to do their best. Both leadership and management play an essential role in organizations. à à As the discussion stressesà a team is more than a group of people working together for a common goal. It must be a group of individuals that work as a single unit, working towards a mutual hallucination of achievement. Working as a team matters because it is difficult to achieve some goals individually.à A team remains necessary because each memberââ¬â¢s work complements and supports the othersââ¬â¢. Effective approaches to leadership and management in any sector calls for astute commitment, passion, and ideological driven mind. To achieve all the essential leadership and managerial qualities, successful techniques remain vital.

His life is the account of the impact he has made in the world. Born as the eldest on the seventh day in the month of November in 1918, Billy Graham was raised on their familyââ¬â¢s dairy farmland in close proximity to the largest city in the state of North Carolina by his parents, William Franklin Graham I who was a successful cultivator and entrepreneur and Morrow Coffey. As he was growing up with his four other siblings namely Katherine, Melvin, and Jean, he was already surrounded by the Christian upbringing in the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. When the Noble Experiment was imposed in 1933, when he was only a young man at the age of about fifteen years old, Grahamââ¬â¢s father had forced him as well as his sister Katherine into drinking and engaging in alcoholic beverages to the point where they would start throwing up. This event that happened early in his life, only as a young teenager, has caused him and his sister a strong feeling of hatred and abhorrence for alcohol and intoxicating drinks and beverages as well as drugs. Graham, a year after the incident, was converted when he was only sixteen years of age at that time when he was attending a series of several revivals and renewal meeting in which Mordecai Fowler Ham an American Independent Baptist evangelist and temperance movement leader, a social movement that insists on the reduction of in taking and drinking alcoholic beverages, was in charge of. Muslim Attitudes to Marriage and Family Life :: Papers, Religion, Culture
Muslim Attitudes to Marriage and Family Life Works Cited Missing In Islam, marriage is a partnership. Muslim women accept only Allah as their master, and do not therefore consider themselves to be inferior to a husband. It is basic in Muslim society that the man is responsible for the family's welfare and business outside the home, but the woman has virtually absolute rights within it so long as her behaviour does not shame her provider or husband. No institution works well without a clear leader, and therefore there should be one in every family. Most Muslim women are quite happy for this leader to be the man. If the man is not worth respecting, divorce is a straightforward matter, and the woman may look for a better one. Sometimes the woman in a household is more intelligent or organized or practical than the man, so he will quite sensibly leave most matters to her-but in Islam he is still responsible for her and therefore must take care of her and try to provide for her as much as he could and not just take advantage of her advantage of her. The women usually live with the husband's family but must be treated with the same respect and not considered an outsider. Marriage and family life are considered to be very important in Islam. Traditionally the man's duty is to go out to work to support the family and the woman's duty is to bring up the children and look after the household. The father makes the main decisions whilst the mother is important within the home and must be shown respect by her husband and children. This is seen as the natural order of things and the way Allah intended men and women to live. The man was also considered to be the provider for the family. Muslims believe that their household is an institution founded by God and intended to give a secure atmosphere for the growth and progress of all its members. Anything, which weakens or disrupts it, therefore

A Terrible Accident
On Christmas day in the year of 2006, I got a gas scooter. I was so happy when I got it, because all the kids in my neighborhood had one. After, I ate dinner on Christmas I got dress and put some warm clothes on so I could go ride my scooter. It was a cold and windy day, but the sun was shinning really bright. So, when I got finished getting dress I went outside and got on my scooter. I was riding down the street, when this boy name Trevor started chasing me. I was going so fast it felt like I was going 90mph. When I finally got to my driveway, I was going so fast that I couldnââ¬â¢t stop. When I turned into my driveway I went over a hump so fast that it made the scooter turn over. When I realized it had turn over, I was on ground with the scooter laying on top of me. I was screaming for help, but nobody couldnââ¬â¢t hear me. About 5 minutes later, Trevor was standing over me laughing, and all I could say can you please help me because I was in so much pain. I was laying on the ground about 30 minutes until I seen a car pull up. I was so happy, because I really needed so help, so when I thought they was out the car I started screaming help again and when I looked it was my cousin Tashia trying to get the scooter off of me. When she finally got the scooter off of me she helped me into the house, because I could barely walk. When I got in the house my family was looking like what happen, and I said I felled off my scooter. My leg was so burnt that some of my skin was peeling off. I had numerous of scars on my leg and my face. My mother said I think you need to go the emergency room for your leg, but I didnââ¬â¢t want to be in the hospital on Christmas day. When we got to the hospital the doctor examine my leg and if he touch it hurt so bad. But the doctor said I was going to be okay, he gave me some ointment to put on it and wrapped my leg some cloth. Iââ¬â¢m so thankful until this day that Tashia came the time she did.

Discuss the dramatic impact of act 2 scene 2 Essay
To achieve maximum impact in this scene, unconventional methods should be used to show how Macbeth is slowly beginning to slip into madness. Shakesphere has added an owl shrieking, this is to perhaps set up a dark atmosphere to link the scene with evil. The owlââ¬â¢s shriek should just begin as Macbeth kills Duncan to show that a evil deed has been committed. Shakephere has deliberately not shown you the actual murder-taking place to show guilt and also by not seeing it we are left to imagine the murder-taking place and may, perhaps, have more affect on the viewer. It can be imagined as being bloodier than it really is. As Macbeth enters on to the stage with bloody hand he should drop to his knees to show how he realizes that what he has done is so evil and it also shows how a psychological impact is starting to take place on him. As Lady Macbeth enters, she should enter slowly and silently to symbolize how the witches disappear and appear as if from nowhere. This shows how evil she is and cold hearted. She should remain calm as if to show no feelings towards what has happened. Lady Macbeth just wants to get back to bed and have the deed finished quickly. As Macbeth begins to tell his speech of how the guards were talking in there sleep, ââ¬Ëone cried, god bless us! And amen the other.ââ¬â¢ Macbeth should say it slowly as if he is worried and as he comes to say the word ââ¬Ëamenââ¬â¢ he should stutter as if to show he still cannot say it. This shows the evil taking over Macbeth as anything related to good he has problems saying. Lady Macbeth would not commit the deed herself because as Duncan sleeps she resembles her father but she would be happy to kill her own baby as shown earlier on in the book. However she will make sure that the deed is complete without any problems by framing the two servants. A feint knocking should start in the background of the scene as Lady Macbeth departs to finish off the deed, the knocking should be in such away so that it resembles a heartbeat. Macbeth at this point should start scrubbing hands vigorously to show that there seems to be an everlasting amount of blood, like a sea of blood. This shows how evil the deed was and how bloody it was also. The knocking should get louder and faster to resemble Macbeths heart beat slowly getting faster as he gets more nervous and as he slowly begins to slip into madness. In this scene the stage should be mainly dark, there should be no lights focused upon Macbeth or Lady Macbeth to show that they are in darkness and evil. The lighting should be positioned in a way so that they are behind the two characters showing how they have left the light and goodness into the darkness and evil. Macbeth should enter the stage and collapse not starting to speak for several seconds to show how Macbeth it thinking of what he has done. Macbeth should breathe heavily to show his fear and anxiety. He should stare at the daggers and keep his eyes fixed on the daggers until he gives them to Lady Macbeth. This shows how he realizes that the deed is wrong but it is too late to late to go back and change what he has done. This shows that Macbeth is slowly beginning to slip into madness. Macbeth should shout most of his lines where as Lady Macbeth should whisper to show that Lady Macbeth is calm at this point where as Macbeth is scared and angry. The shriek that the owl makes should be loud and fast to show that the murder has been carried out quickly and smoothly. As Macbeth begins to clean the blood off his hands he should scrub it clean off but carry on to show that he is seeing his hands as being still covered in blood but are really clean. This shows that he is going mad.

READING Bias Essays - Critical Thinking, Parapsychology
READING Bias Essays - Critical Thinking, Parapsychology READING Bias rev. August 2005 BIAS Bias is prejudice about or leaning towards something. An author shows bias by leaving out information or by altering facts to force the reader to have a certain opinion about a subject, or to convince the reader to take a certain action. Critical reading requires that a reader recognize bias in writing. Without this recognition, the reader may become the victim of the writers propaganda. To identify bias in a passage or article, the reader must read through the material and ask, What does the writer want me to think or to do? Bias is often present in editorials, advertisements, religious publications, and political materials. There are several common devices or techniques used by writers of propaganda and biased material. Some of these are 1. USE OF WORDS FOR EMOTIONAL EFFECT Words like commie, racist, hippie, liberal, pinko, and others are used to promote either a positive or a negative response in the reader. 2. REFERENCE TO GREAT MEN Politicians often refer to famous men in the history of our country in order to gain support for their ideas. 3. FLATTERY The writer may use praise to try to gain a positive reaction from the reader. 4. STACKING THE CARDS Instead of giving an objective description, the writer may give evidence to support only one side of a question and may deliberately omit any opposing ideas. 5. BANDWAGON A writer might suggest that everyone is doing something or thinking in a certain way and that the reader should do the same. 6. PLAIN FOLKS Many politicians and advertisers try to appeal to common people. Politicians attempt to make voters identify with them by presenting themselves as ordinary people. READING Bias rev. August 2005 BIAS PRACTICE EXERCISES EXERCISE I. Read the following letter to a local newspaper in which the writer argues that Fairlawn Park should not be turned into a baseball field. Note the negative terms that are used to influence the reader. Citizens of the Fairlawn Park area look with alarm at the diabolical plot to change a beautiful spot into a baseball park. If this malicious plan is carried out, the lovely trees in the park will be chopped down. Values of the property within the area will drop sharply as the park fills with the filth and debris of the bulldozers and other equipment. Later the shrieks of the young ruffians who take over the park will destroy the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Obviously no one cares about the poor citizen who has slaved to pay for his home and to keep up with his taxes. 1. In this passage, the author shows bias against a. homeowners and taxpayers b. citizens of the Fairlawn Park area c. a baseball field in the park d. more trees in the park Did you find the following terms used to sway the mind of the reader? 1. alarm 6. debris 2. shrieks 7. filth 3. malicious 8. diabolical 4. destroy 9. poor 5. ruffians 10. slaved EXERCISE II. Read each paragraph; then, choose the best answer to the question that follows to find out if you can identify bias. New cars are not built as well as they used to be. Owners of new cars in 2002 have more complaints about their automobiles than in past years. In fact, the recalling of new cars by their makers is becoming a routine practice in America. Instead of insisting upon safe, well-designed products, carmakers seem more concerned with throwing together shoddy automobiles and making a profit. Invariably, new cars need parts replaced almost as soon as the warranty expires. Unfortunately, people need transportation, so they continue to buy new automobiles. 2. The author shows bias against a. new car owners b. foreign car manufacturers c. car repair shops d. automobile manufacturers READING Bias rev. August 2005 BIAS PRACTICE EXERCISES Everyone who cooks should own a food processor. This marvelous invention is now being used by over 12 million vegetarians, compared with only half that number a couple of years ago. Vegetarians rarely have a weight problem since most vegetables are low in calories and contain little or no fat. They do not suffer a build-up of cholesterol in the bloodstream as they grow older. Some doctors have suggested a link between vegetarianism and longevity. As Americans become more health-conscious, vegetarianism will certainly become more popular. 3. The author show bias for a. eating more vegetables b. avoiding cholesterol c. eating health foods d. becoming a vegetarian America is certainly a strong military power; it now has the nuclear power to destroy the entire world. We are not the only country that has

How Do I Submit Letters of Recommendation
How Do I Submit Letters of Recommendation SAT / ACT Prep Online Guides and Tips Hopefully, you have the perfect teachers in mind to ask for your letter of recommendation. Once youââ¬â¢ve asked these teachers, how do you actually get theirletters to your colleges? This guide will go over everything you need to know about submitting your recommendation letters, whether youââ¬â¢re using the Common Application, a customized school application, and/or Naviance. To start, what are the options for submission? What Are YourOptions for Submitting Recommendation Letters? Technically, there are two options for submission: online or by mail. Note the use of ââ¬Å"orâ⬠; colleges donââ¬â¢t want teachers to mix and match. In other words, schools don't want a single teacher to submit her ranking form online and then send her letter by mail. If she's submitting online, then she should submit everything online. If by mail, then everything should go by mail. Generally speaking, most students reading this will have their recommenders submit their letters online. Since youââ¬â¢re already doing more than enough with the college application process, you might be relieved to hear that you donââ¬â¢t actually have to submit your letters! Your teachers andcounselor are responsible for uploading the recletters to whatever system youââ¬â¢re using. What you are responsible for, though, is inviting them. Make sure you give them clear deadlines, send a reminder email, and double check that your schools received their letters. Whichever mode youââ¬â¢re using to apply - the Common Application, Universal Application, school-specific app, and/or Naviance software - youââ¬â¢ll assign your recommenders. The rest is up to them! In rare cases, your recommender might prefer or need to send her letter of recommendation by snail mail. This may be the case if youââ¬â¢re sending an extra supplemental recommendation, or if your school uses Naviance and you need to assign a recommender outside of your immediate school faculty. This method is usually fine, though not preferred, by colleges - just notify your college to expect the arrival of this document. As you can tell, there are various ways to apply, and, therefore, there are different ways to deliver your letters of recommendation to colleges. Letââ¬â¢s consider how exactly your recommenders will submit in a few different scenarios. How Do Your Recommenders Submit Their Letters Online? Online rec letter submission is generally a straightforward process. First, you invite, or ââ¬Å"assign,â⬠your recommenders. Then, your recommenders get an email prompting them to upload their letters. The main question you need to answer is what system youââ¬â¢re using to invite your recommenders, whether youââ¬â¢re applying viaan online school application, the Common App, Naviance, or a combination of all three. Letââ¬â¢s look at all these options, starting withschool-specificapplications. Scenario 1: Assign Recommenders Through Your School Application In this scenario, youââ¬â¢re applying to school through itsindividual online application system. Schools in the University of Texas system, for example, use their own applications and donââ¬â¢t participate in the Common App. If your college allows or requires recommendation letters, then it will have a page on which you can invite your recommenders. Typically youââ¬â¢ll be asked to fill in their first and last names, position (like English Teacher), and email address. The University of Texas application has its own "Document Upload System." If your college doesnââ¬â¢t want you to sendrecommendation letters, like University of California schools, then you wonââ¬â¢t find this function on your application. Some school applications will also prompt you to respond to a question about FERPA. Generally speaking, you should go ahead and waive your right to view recommendation letters, as theyââ¬â¢re expected to be confidential between letter writers and the admissions officers who read them. All of the aboveinstructions should workfor the Common Application too. The only difference is that you'll probably have to assign recommenders for more than one college. Scenario 2: Assign Recommenders Through the Common Application Your first step in completing the recommendation letter requirement through the Common Application is signing your FERPA waiver. Once you sign this, youââ¬â¢ll be able to invite recommenders. First, head to the ââ¬Å"Collegesâ⬠tab. From there, youââ¬â¢ll be able to assign recommenders by each individual college on your list. Each school, by the way, customizes its own page. If your school requires two teacher recommendations, for example, then youââ¬â¢ll see space to invite two teacher recommenders. Many schools also allow you to assign one or two ââ¬Å"Other Recommenders.â⬠This space is for letters beyond the requirements. Before sending any supplemental letters, check to learn your collegesââ¬â¢ stance: some colleges actively discourage the submission of extra materials. Once you invite your recommenders, your teachers will receive emails prompting them to submit their letters. Your recommenders are responsible for uploading their recs by the stated deadlines. Conveniently, youââ¬â¢ll see a status change once your letters are uploaded (usually yellow means not yet, and green means youââ¬â¢re good to go!). While your letters will be attached to your application, they wonââ¬â¢t actually get sent to your colleges until you hit submit and pay the application fees (or use a fee waiver). That means that the final step of actually getting your letters to the admissions committee is ultimately in your hands. While inviting your recommenders through your online applications is a simple process, itââ¬â¢s not actually how youââ¬â¢ll sendyour letters if your high school uses the e-docs delivery software, Naviance. Read on to learn how Naviance links up to your applications to collect required documents, like your recommendation letters. Want to build the best possible college application? We can help. PrepScholar Admissions is the world's best admissions consulting service. We combine world-class admissions counselors with our data-driven, proprietary admissions strategies. We've overseen thousands of students get into their top choice schools, from state colleges to the Ivy League. We know what kinds of students colleges want to admit. We want to get you admitted to your dream schools. Learn more about PrepScholar Admissions to maximize your chance of getting in. Scenario 3: Assign Recommenders Through Naviance / Family Connection Many high schools use the college e-docs software program Naviance. Your counselor controls one end of Naviance from her account, and you control and access another part with yours (called Family Connection). Naviance lets you search for colleges and keep track of deadlines and submitted documents. At the same time, your counselor can upload documents, like the secondary school report and school transcript. Your Naviance account and all the documents it collects, including your recommendation letters, will sync up to your Common Application and any other school applications that accept e-docs. If you are using the Common Application, youââ¬â¢ll need to ââ¬Å"matchâ⬠your Common App and Naviance accounts. Youââ¬â¢ll enter the name of your high school on the Common App and sign the FERPA waiver. Once youââ¬â¢ve done this, your ââ¬Å"Assign Recommendersâ⬠page should look like this: As you can see, you wonââ¬â¢t actually be inviting your recommenders through the Common Application. Instead, youââ¬â¢ll invite your recommenders directly through Naviance. Since your Naviance account is directly connected to your high school, you can just select your teacher recommenders from a drop down list that has all the teachers in the school. You simply choose the teacher and add a personal note, making sure to indicate which colleges you want her to write letters for. While this process makes it easier on you - you donââ¬â¢t have to collect your teachersââ¬â¢ first and last names and email addresses - it also has some limitations. Can you see what they are? Limitation of Naviance: Supplemental Recommendations Instead of manually entering your teachersââ¬â¢ contact info, as described above, Naviance asks you to select your teachers from a drop down menu. While this makes your teacher recommendations easy to request, it doesnââ¬â¢t allow you to ask anyone outside of your schoolââ¬â¢s faculty. Some students wish to send supplemental recommendations, like from a private music teacher, coach, or supervisor. Others may have switched high schools and want to ask a teacher from their previous school, or perhaps one who recently retired and has been removed from the drop down list of current faculty. If any of these scenarios apply to you, then youââ¬â¢d have to invite your external recommender through your online application. If you find yourself exceeding the number that your application allows, then you could print out the evaluation form and have your recommender send her documents by mail. (Of course, exercise caution about sending too many extra letters!) This process may sound a bit complicated, but once you sit down at your computer, youââ¬â¢ll actually find it to be pretty intuitive. Youââ¬â¢ll either assign recommenders through your online applications, or youââ¬â¢ll choose them through Naviance. Finally, you may have some recommenders who have full-fledged technophobia and insist on sending their letters by mail. While not preferred by colleges, this method is actually pretty easy. How to Submit Recommendations Through Mail Despite rumorsof a shutdown a few years ago, the post office is still going strong and available to deliver your orange envelopes to colleges. If your recommender wants to send a hard copy, make sure to print out any ranking form that needs to accompany the evaluation letter. Then give your recommender a pre-stamped, pre-addressed envelope. Typically, these envelopes should be sent to the schoolââ¬â¢s undergraduate admissions office. As with all your recommenders, make sure this teacherknows your deadlines, and follow up with her to check thatshe sent it in. Donââ¬â¢t worry if this package arrives before you submit your application. The college will start a file on each applicant and collect any materials that arrive within that file before eventually sitting down to review it as a complete application. Since there are a few different options, letââ¬â¢s review the key stepsthat you need to know for submitting your recommendation letters. How to Assign Recommenders: An Overview You may find yourself using a school application and/or the Common Application to apply. Additionally, you may also have a Naviance account connected to your school. Without Naviance, you simply invite your recommenders directly through your online applications by providing their full names, positions, and email addresses. With Naviance, youââ¬â¢ll need to sync up your applications and invite your recommenders through your Naviance account, manually indicating which colleges you want them to write letters for. If you run into any technical difficulties through the process, make sure to speak to your counselor about troubleshooting. The most common place that students get stuck is the FERPA waiver. Until youââ¬â¢ve completed that step, you canââ¬â¢t move onto your recommendation requests. Apart from inviting your recommenders, is there anything else you need to do in your quest for great evaluations? What Else Do You Need to Do? Besides choosing your teacher recommenders carefully, make sure to ask well in advance of deadlines - at least a month before, if not in the spring of your junior year. Send them a reminder email - perhaps masquerading as a thank you note - about a week before your deadlines, and sign into your application and/or Naviance accounts tomake sure theyââ¬â¢ve uploaded their recommendations. Finally, make sure to thank your recommenders for all their help in getting into college! What's Next? Now that you know how to submit your recommendation letters, make sure you understand what separates the great letters from the forgettable ones. Check out this full guide on what makes a good recommendation letter and what makes one not so effective. A lot of your colleges of interest might participate in the Common Application. Analysis of the trends in the consumption patterns of oil Essay
Analysis of the trends in the consumption patterns of oil - Essay Example The definition of Economics can be classified into three broad categories, namely: (a) Wealth Economics Definition, (b) Material Welfare Economics Definition, and, (c) Scarcity Economics Definition. Of these three, the Scarcity Economics Definition is the pertinent for the present. According to this, economics is a ââ¬Å"science which studies human behavior as a relationship between ends and means which have alternative usesâ⬠(Robbins, 1935). The study of Economics is divided by the modern economists into two parts, namely; microeconomics and macroeconomics. In macroeconomics, the economy as a whole is analyzed, while microeconomics analyses the economy in terms of its innumerable decision-making units. Microeconomics: The study of supply and demand inside a market is known as microeconomics. Microeconomics is ââ¬Å"the study of particular firms, particular households, individual prices, wage incomes, individual industries, and particular commoditiesâ⬠(Boulding, 1969). Microeconomics offers solution for the problems: what should be produced, how those goods and services should be produced, and, who is allowed to consume those goods and services. It explains the composition of total production- why more of some things is produced than of others. In other words, it analyzes demand and supply for a product or service. The law of demand states that ââ¬Å"a rise in the price of a commodity or service is followed by a reduction in demand, and a fall in price is followed by an increase in demand, if conditions of demand remain constantâ⬠(Samuelson, 1962). ... The major factors that influence the demand for a product or service are: price and availability of a substitute good, price and availability of a complimentary good, income, tastes and preferences, price expectations, stock of goods in consumer hands, and, population. Law of supply: Supply is the amount offered for sale at a given price. The law of supply states that "other things remaining the same, as the price of a commodity rises its supply is extended, and as the price falls its supply is contracted" (Boulding, 1969). The supply changes due to: i) costs of production, ii) unavailability of resources (like raw materials for the production), iii) improvement in the means of transportation, communication and technology, iv) political disturbances or war, and, v) the climate, irrigation methods and soil (in the case of agriculture products). Trends in the consumption patterns of oil The availability of oil and its price are linked by the laws of supply and demand. Each day approximately 84 million barrels of oil are extracted from the earth, and approximately the same amount is consumed. The world's rate of oil extraction will begin soon or has already begun to decline, while the demand for oil continues to grow which in turn will produce sharply rising prices for oil. In this study, the Oil Market Report by IEA dated 10th July, 2008 (IEA, 2008) is analyzed. The highlights of the analysis are given below: Microeconomics of oil - Supply and Demand: The oil market is one where small changes to the supply or demand cause large changes to the clearing price. In economics jargon, both oil supply and demand are "inelastic" - they show only a minimal short-term response to changes in
